CAR WARS - Banned Scene

April 19, 2008 · No Comments

So we finish a grueling 13 episode edit on two seasons of Car Wars and on the 11th hour ESPN 2 feels that one of our best scenes ever is too controversial and they gone and censored it. Bummer. But no biggie. Thanks to the modern marvel of the internets it can now live on in infamy. Check it out.

CAR WARS - Seasons 3 & 4

March 2, 2008 · 1 Comment

For the last three months I’ve been, and for the next month and a half I shall continue to, edit the competition show CAR WARS with FUNKMASTER FLEX for Red Moxie Productions. It will begin airing on Saturday, March 8th, at 10:30 AM on ESPN 2. It is a new take on the reality genre as I got to up the ante with humorous hijinks and lots of graphic hoopla, definitely hoopla. A great production team headed by Stone “Thrower” Roberts and Jon “The Silver” Bulette have brought extra shenanigans to the already ensuing cacophony of sheer monkey business. A big shout out must go to Assistant Editors Danny “Boy” Brothers (season 3) and my current whipping post Hedia “Not Heddy!” Maron (season 4.)

WENDY & EARL ACROSS THE WORLD

December 17, 2007 · No Comments

“The Fateful Encounter of Wendy & Earl” has just screened in two more international film festivals - CHINA and ESTONIA.  Four continents down three more to go. Hope the penguins in Antartica get to enjoy it someday, if it doesn’t melt first.

IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EDDIE

November 29, 2007 · No Comments

This freaking upload keeps giving me trouble. First Fest21 lost everyone’s videos including this one. Then I re-uploaded it back to YouTube. But then it was over ten minutes so I had to render it as two different files and post it twice. And it was then that I realized that due to an operator error (mainly me), I had uploaded a working version of the short without the final film look I had labored so intensely on. Anyways, by this morning I hope to fix the entire hubbub.

Watch again as is for the first time: The Garden of Eddie

LAST NIGHT A YOU-TUBE SAVED MY LIFE

November 24, 2007 · No Comments

So it turns out my video host lost ALL the videos. Serves me right for going against the family. Luckily I had some of them in my YouTube account and only had to upload a few back up. But you will find some changes to most of the five short films including; new B&W effects on “Miss You” plus an audio fix; brand new cut of “The Garden of Eddie” at a slick 11 minutes with a better film look, alternate takes, and a starker ending; “Merde…” also got a new film look treatment and a slight tweak. If you have a chance take a peek and send us some feedback. We can only learn from our mistakes.

THERE’s A PIPER…ERR… SERVERRR DOWN!

November 20, 2007 · No Comments

A few months back I posted all my Short-Films to the website FEST21.com since it provided fast streaming with clarity and widescreen capabilities. I later found out Fest21 used vPod.tv as their video server so actually I’m piggy backing on someone’s piggy back. This week vPod screwed up their video streaming so I’m left with no Short Films to stream and sitting at home with my mouse in my hand (watch “Goodfelas” for a more graphic description of my current state.) Anywho, hopes this cheers you up, Mike Myers at his best:

FLYIN’ MARVIN

October 26, 2007 · No Comments

Hi friends. I just completed a summer long pitch project with soon to be reborn/renamed Overseas Productions. I’m not in liberty to discuss this any further ’cause there’s T’s to be crossed and I’s to be dotted, yadda, yadda… but it’s a big video project in which I will be a producing honcho and hopefully say goodbye to editing elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. More to come. Meanwhiles, enjoy this little diddy from the late 80’s as I play with my pet mouse Marvin.

I recently lensed and cut this little “barter” project. It got me a really nice kick ass haircut with another two trims to be scissored later.

FYI: MIDOMA is located on 78th Street off York Avenue in The Upper East Side of Manhattan. Visit MIDOMA.com for more information.

WHY DO I NEED AN 8×10?

June 12, 2007 · No Comments

Recently my old goomba Chris Vitola snapped some shots of me for his portfolio. Take a look at some of his better looking subjects at OrsoFotos1962.

Mr. Vitola works at a “major” Madison Avenue agency and his photography has made it into national advertising campaigns. Chris has contributed to most of our shorts in front and behind the camera. For our latest film, “Gigantic Saturday,” Chris shot all the stills for our press kit and even took over Camera B
